Portofino Park was established in 1935 and was moved under the seat of the region of Liguria in the 1970s. Portofino National Reserve safeguards the promontory that extends through the districts of Camogli, Santa Margherita Ligure and Portofino. The Reserve overlooks both the Tigullio and Paradiso Gulfs.
The park boasts one of the most comprehensive collections of plant life in the Mediterranean, as well as a fair variety of animal species and architectural examples, offering an extraordinary blending of rural and maritime cultures.
